In an old-growth tree stand in a mature forest of The Arboretum in Guelph, ON, prints are lifted from woodpeckers’ feeding cavities in an Eastern Hemlock tree and shaped into imperfect suburban formations.

In this series of artworks, iron, derived from rust, is used to trace sections of the artist’s body onto pieces of reclaimed cotton while engaging in physical therapy exercises. The fabric is dyed with plants collected locally, then assembled and stitched together.
The first piece in the series, titled "Companion," was created during an artist residency at Maison Métier d'Arts in Quebec City and at the Est-Nord-Est artist-run center in Saint-Jean-Port-Joli, Quebec.

Seating Chart
A chair cover is taken apart, and 13 circles are then drawn onto the surface, scaled to represent eight-foot diameters with six feet of space between each circle in any direction. The areas are then dyed and pieced, resulting in an irregular pattern.
